SUSAN KUCERA

 

Susan is currently working with Academy award winner actor Jeff Bridges on documentary collaborations. Susan is director, co-producer, cinematographer and editor of the film Living in the Futures Past which is also, produced, narrated by and features Jeff Bridges, set to be released in 2018. Susan Kucera has been working in film since youth, first as a camera assistant studying the Athabasca Glacier creating educational short films with her father, Glaciologist, Dr.Richard Kucera, for Encyclopaedia Britannica Film Corporation, then as a screenwriter and director of documentaries. As one of the first owner/operators of the ground breaking Red One Camera she produced, wrote, directed and filmed Trading on Thin Air starring Nation Magazine’s Alex Cockburn (2009). She wrote, filmed, directed, edited and co-produced For the Love of Tango starring Broadway’s Forever Tango, Jorge Torres (2014). She directed and filmed Improv(e) (2011) a documentary short highlighting the work of the Unusual Suspects Theatre Company and the teens from John C. Fremont High School in LA. She directed, filmed, edited and produced award winning Breath of Life, starring Richard Dawkins (2014). She was the Cinematographer for Milkmen (2015). Susan has 3 other films in the works. Principle Photography is completed for 12th Hour, a film about the psychology of denial and Range Riders, a film about the re-introduction of wolves into the Western United States and ranching in our post-modern landscapes as well as Wild Life, a film about Robert Trivers, the ground-breaking evolutionary biologist named by Time Magazine as one of the most original thinkers of our time.  Susan lives in Hawaii and Washington State and currently films with the Red Epic W. Susan’s films have been featured in the U.S. and Canada on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Shaw, NHK, KCET, LINK TV, Time Warner, and more and translated for and featured on platforms in China, Germany and Argentina. Breath of Life has been sponsored by University of Melbourne, Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute, University of Bristol Festival of Ideas, The Rockefeller Foundation’s Cabot Institute for the Environment, The Blue Planet Foundation, Pangeaseed Foundation and more.

Bruno Chatelin, French Business School HEC alumni, began his marketing career with the largest international Advertising Agencies: Publicis, DMM Masius and JWT. Former film distributor. He started in 1985 working for Sony then UGC FOX in France (Marketing Director and Managing Director)He has launched over 200 films and has worked closely with key creative talents.

PAUL McGUIRK

 

Author of Neil Jordan: The Literary Fiction, Paul McGuirk is a lecturer in film studies and has designed and delivered courses in Film Theory, Irish Cinema, European Cinema, Political Cinema, and Documentary Cinema at undergraduate and postgraduate level in University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin and The National Film School at IADT. In addition, he has contributed articles to Irish Films/Global Cinema, Cineaste, Film-Konzepte, and estudios irlandeses.
